CAFFEINE
Caffeine is the alkaloid substance contained in coffee beans. lt has the capacity to stimulate drainage and the subsequent removal of stagnant fluids (anti-edematous function) yet its main action is to stimulate the mobilization of fatty acids in adipose tissues. Topical of Caffeine has no contraindications because the transdermal absorption does not manifest blood concentrations inducing systemic effects.

CARNITINE
An active ingredient that can accelerate the fats catabolism. lt is the “carrier” which delivers fatty acids into the mitochondria to produce energy. Carnitine can attach itself to molecule of fat becoming a “key” to penetrate inside the mitochondria. Mitochondria are organelles found in every cell of our organism in which, thanks to the presence of oxygen, fats are burned for energy. Carnitine, once penetrated into the cells, causes an increase in the use off at for energy, thus reducing its accumulation in the adipose tissues.

ESCIN PHYTOSOME
Phytosome is a chemical compound that combines herbal extracts with an ingredient which makes them more effective. Escin is a mixture of saponins with decongestant, anti-reddening, bleaching, astringent and vasoconstrictor properties extracted from horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) seeds. Escin also has an anti-inflammatory effect on the circulatory system. lt is a blood vessels vasoconstrictor as well as a vasoprotective and it has a blood fluidizing action. This active ingredient is able to act on the electrolytic locaI turnover, counteracting the formation of edemas. lt increases capillary resistance, reduces vascular permeability promoting the elimination of accumulated interstitial fluids. The anti-edema properties of Escin, with its beneficial effect on circulation, make it particularly useful in the treatment of swelling, heaviness, tiredness or lymphatic stagnation. Escin Phytosome has the same properties as Escin but prolongs effectiveness by slowing down its release into the skin.

LACTOPEROXIDASE AND SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE IN CYCLODEXTRINS
Superoxide dismutase and Lactoperossidasi are enzymes with antioxidant and antimicrobial effects that can interfere with the production of free radicals during the initial phase, inactivating their precursors. They exert a powerful antiradical action directly operating a dismutation of the oxygen present in the free radicals and preventing the reformation of the initial superoxide ion which is one of the more oxidizing agents in the cell. This anti-radical action is essential for skin’s appearance and health. A constant application of cosmetic products containing superoxide dismutase and Lactoperossidasi definitely contributes to slow the damaging action of free radicals. In addition, these enzymes, combined with Cyclodextrins, do not lose their activity when inserted in the cosmetic products allowing us to take advantage of their beneficial qualities. Cyclodextrins also ensure, thanks to their known properties of controlled release, a substantial increase in the activity of the complex functional substance and a significant decrease in any problems of irritation which might be found if the active ingredient was used on its own.

ROSEHIP-OIL LIPOSOMES
Rosehip Oil is rich in polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (PUFAs) (41 % linoleic, linolenic 39%). These are essential in the regeneration processes of cell membranes and therefore the renewal of skin tissues. lt is also made up of trans-retinoic acid, an isomer of vitamin A, whose rejuvenating effects on the skin are well known. Rosehip Oil is very effective in the treatment of scars, stretch marks, sunburn and age spots. lt softens expression wrinkles and prevents premature aging of skin tissues. lt is also effective on dry and worn skins as well as in the regeneration of hair. The Liposomes, given their phospholipid nature, are products of vegetable origin, wholly natural and totally sebum-compatible. Their special composition increases their absorption, provides protection and effective delivery of the active ingredients whilst their phospholipid components are both excellent and nourishing skin emollients. The synergistic combination of liposomal system and polyunsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6, present in Rosehip Oil, ensures a supply of essential emollients for softness and a smooth appearance of the skin. The liposoluble vitamins A, D, E, K, which are also present in Rosehip Oil, play a strong anti-free radical and antiaging role, giving the skin a healthy and radiant look.

PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE AND SODIUM DEOXYCHOLATE
Phosphatidylcholine is one of the most important components of biological membranes. lt is the most abundant phospholipid on the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane. lt is extracted mainly from the seeds of Soybean Glycine, where 75 % of the Phosphatidylcholine is composed of unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic and oleic. Phosphatidylcholine can reduce the volume of the adipose cells with which it comes into contact. lt is also a fat emulsifier and therefore aids its dispersion as energy. This last aspect is probably the true mechanism of its action. lt is used, in fact, in combination with Sodium Deoxycholate, which, inducing a detergent action on membrane lipids of adipocytes, causes their disruption and the consequent release of triglycerides present into the interstitial space. Phosphatidylcholine then dissolves these triglycerides and promotes their metabolism and elimination through the circulatory flow.

NIGARI SALTS CARRIED IN IONOSOMES
This is a salt mixture with detoxifying and draining qualities. lt is delivered in a way which helps it to perform at its best. Magnesium chloride, extracted from sea water, is one of the most important minerals for the human body (it is involved in more than 300 biochemical reactions). Since it is difficult to assimilate through the skin it needs to be contained in a suitable carrier. For this reason, a liposomal vehicle was modified: it is a real liposome (a phospholipid bilayer) externally covered with polysaccharides which allow a stable encapsulation of the salt, otherwise this would be impossible in a classic liposome because of its strong ionic nature. The benefits and the classic features of liposomes are therefore maintained making for better bioavailability and the gradual release of the active ingredient. Nigari salt enhances the elimination of waste from the organism with draining detoxifying and purifying activity. In general it protects against toxic substances and extends cellular half-life.

MIX OF VITAMINS (A-C-E-F) IN LIPOSOMES
This is a microencapsulated vitamin complex which promotes the extension of the bioavailability of its active contents improving absorption, penetration and diffusion. The phospholipid nature of the complex allows the simultaneous diffusion of both hydrophilic and lipid Vitamins. Ascorbic acid is in the skin and in the dermis too, mostly at the epidermis level. lt is used as an active principle for re-balancing the altered skin barrier and it is added to the protecting products, above all the anti-aging ones. lt has been tested at the experimental stage that, after a series of treatments with ascorbic acid, the general aspect of the skin improves greatly. lt promotes a reduction of surface wrinkles and an improvement of elasticity and skin tone.

VITAMIN E
lt has a protective and antioxidant action on cells and tissues thus slowing down the aging process. It also has soothing and softening properties and reduces cellular damage of UV rays on the skin.

VITAMIN F
It is essential for the integrity of the skin and to keep its protective barrier against external agents. lt is also important for cellular assimilation and respiratory processes. From a cosmetic point of view this vitamin counteracts premature skin aging and sun damage, helps in maintaining skin elasticity, reduce blemishes caused by stretch marks and helps the regeneration of skin tissues.
